Every autumn, around October 29, Girona celebrates its main city festival: the Sant Narcís Fair, held in honour of the city’s patron saint. For more than a week, the city fills with concerts, fairs, traditions and activities for all ages. Leaves fall from the trees, the scent of roasted chestnuts fills the streets, and Girona enjoys one of the most special moments of the year.

The Sant Narcís Fair is the major festive event on Girona’s calendar and marks the arrival of autumn with a mix of tradition, leisure and a lively local atmosphere. During these days, the city offers a wide range of activities for all audiences and becomes a meeting point for both locals and visitors.
La Devesa Park turns into the heart of the celebration, hosting a large amusement fair for all ages, food stalls, craft stands and a giant Ferris wheel offering spectacular views of the illuminated city. Nearby, the market of local and artisanal products completes the experience.
In the Barraques area, many of the concerts and live performances by Catalan bands and popular artists take place, creating a festive atmosphere that lasts well into the night. Fire runs and fireworks
During the Sant Narcís Fair, correfocs are also held—one of the most iconic events of Catalan popular festivities—where groups of “diables” parade through the streets with fire, fireworks and music.
In addition, on certain days fireworks displays are organised, visible from different points of the city, especially near the Onyar River and the central bridges.
