The year in Girona begins with one of the most anticipated moments for both adults and children: the arrival of Their Majesties the Three Kings on January 5. The city fills with excitement, music, and color to welcome Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthasar, in one of the most beloved Christmas traditions.
The royal camp at La Devesa Park

As in recent years, before the grand parade, the Kings set up their royal camp at the Camp de Mart in La Devesa Park.
During the day, visitors can get close to see the space where Their Majesties prepare the most magical night of the year. It is a very special experience for children, who can hand in their letters and meet the royal pages.
In the morning, different pages travel through various neighborhoods of the city with small performances, bringing the magic to all corners of Girona.
The Grand Three Kings Parade and its route through the city center

On the afternoon of January 5, the Three Kings Parade begins, traveling through the main streets of central Girona. The parade usually passes through iconic areas such as La Devesa Park, Independence Square, Gran Via de Jaume I, Pont de Pedra, and streets in the Old Town, before ending in the historic center.
Many of these streets are very close to Hotel Carlemany, allowing guests to walk to several sections of the route and choose the ideal spot to watch Their Majesties pass by without needing a car.
Illuminated floats, dance school groups, local organizations, and associations parade through the city alongside Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthasar, while festive music plays and candies are thrown to the crowd, creating one of the most magical nights of the year.
Hotel Carlemany, your base for the Three Kings night

Experiencing the arrival of the Three Kings is even more special when everything is nearby. From Hotel Carlemany, located in the center of Girona, it is possible to walk to several points along the parade route and the surrounding area of La Devesa Park, without needing a car.
After the celebration, the hotel provides a peaceful space to relax, with spacious and comfortable rooms, and restaurants where you can enjoy a quiet dinner or a hearty breakfast the next morning. A perfect option to turn Three Kings’ night into a magical getaway.
